Used to align and hold the camshaft when adjusting both the left and right camshafts.
Applications:
VW Polo Diesel, Audi 100 (since 1991), Audi A6 with engine Z15L TDI. The two locking and adjustment fixtures interface with the same camshaft. They are critical for securing and maintaining TDC (Top Dead Center) timing alignment when the cam belt is serviced or removed for other front-engine or cylinder head service tasks. Includes a long pin for locating the crankshaft at TDC (Top Dead Center) when timing the engine or servicing the timing belt or flywheel/drive plate.
A special 3/8" drive socket is designed specifically to adjust the variable timing on the exhaust camshaft to the base position when performing the timing belt or other front-engine service on Audi 3.0L 5-valve engines.
